So I don't update my Lj journals. . . at all. . . lol. I feel bad but I just dont have the time to mess around with more than just my DA updates (also why I'm not on FA at the moment)

SO my Birthday is coming up on Thursday. So much has been going on this month that I've practically forgotten about it. I'm turning 25 (eek quarter century!) but I'm not too worried about it :) I have more to stress about than some numbers I cant control ;) 25's a good number anyway.

So I'm going to be starting my last 2 terms of graduate school this Sept. . . and the startling realization that I'm soon going to be thrust out of my 20 year comfort zone of classes, teachers, grades etc and tossed into the work, living, bosses, paychecks, (more)bills, taxes etc world. . . well it hit me and it's completely terrifying. I'm getting over it, and trying to just take it one day, week, term at a time, but I think one of the things I will miss the most, is the leisure of art.

I LOVE to draw. I Love to upload to DA and get comments and favs and feedback. I love commissions and trades. I wish i could get back to a Con to meet some of my favorite artists and maybe even man a table.

But once I get into a job place, marriage place, and eventually a kid place, I can see that just fizzling out due to busy schedules, time restraints, and overall exhaustion.

I know I'm thinking way too far ahead, and if drawing is a part of me it'll never just up and disappear. . . but I also know my life will never be the same, for better or for worse.

This one's for Sojua on DA, a City scape referenced from Stargate Atlantis with his dragon perched in the foreground ;) For never having worked on a city scape, I'm pretty pleased thus far.



One out of four for Greenie, I have a 2nd sketched but I was smart and left it on the school server >.o so I'll have to wait to get it.

So, I caved and got myself a Lj for my art. No clue what I'll upload here (or really even how) but I figured it'd be good to at least have. This'll probably be the place that I upload WIP's and Sketches, Most of my finished work will end up on my DA account ( Kata.deviantart.com)
